Student & Family Support
The CUES Schools initiated the Student & Family Services program in 2018 to help connect families to community resources, assisting with food and housing insecurities, as well as addressing other urgent needs a family may be experiencing.
Here are ways the team helps:
- Builds relationships and trust with students, families and community partners
- Connects families to community resources
- Assists with food and housing insecurities
- Provides a piece of the social-emotional learning and behavioral support that our students desire
- Nurtures and mentors / future leaders
- Supports student transition to high school and connects them to scholarships and programs
- Tracks the trajectory of graduates in high school, college, and beyond
- Helps families with financial literacy
“We break through language barriers, cultural differences, and economic challenges to help our students and families benefit from community resources. It is an honor and a blessing to play a small part in the lives of our families.”
— Jim Swanson
